WHO ARE THE DAWGS?
The Tahoe Dawgs are a men’s club lacrosse team consisting of players from the Lake Tahoe and Reno areas in Northern Nevada and California. We compete in regional tournaments and hold regular practices, scrimmages, and games throughout the year.
Our membership consists of adult players (18+) and we currently field teams in three age divisions: Open, Masters (30+), Super-Masters (40+). We welcome all experienced players to come and join our pick-up sessions and get to know the team.

DAWGS AT PLAY
DAWG HISTORY
The Tahoe Dawgs formed in 1994 under the leadership of Curt Wegener to compete in what evolved into the Annual Lake Tahoe Lacrosse Tournament. The team’s name came from our first sponsor (a bar, of course), the “Naughty Dawg” formerly located in Tahoe City. The Dawgs have had the pleasure of fielding open-division teams in the Tahoe Tourney every year since 1994 and Master’s teams every year since 2014. July 2024 marks the Dawgs 30th anniversary of playing at Tahoe!
